EcoFocus is proud to unveil its 2012 films and schedule! We're just five weeks away from our fantastic event featuring 19 feature-length and 22 short environmental films from around the world. We pair our films with inspiring and dynamic post-film discussions with filmmakers, experts, and members of our local and statewide environmental organizations to bring you an unforgettable nine days of inspiration and fun.

Join us on Saturday September 24th at Ciné for a special screening of GENERAL ORDERS No. 9.

Tonight's free screening of Bag It (a funny and inspiring film about reducing our use of plastic) will be held between Boggs and Church residence halls (i. e.

EcoFocus closes on Sunday with a day of films that raise awareness of environmental issues being faced by other cultures and countries around the globe. Films will be ticketed separately.

EcoFocus gets started Saturday at 1:00 pm with an encore presentation of Play Again, a powerful, enlightening documentary about a group of screen-addicted teens who are taken on a wilderness adventure. The film (recommended for middle-school-age and up) explores the importance of "playing again" in the great outdoors for all of us, kids and adults alike.

Join us on Friday, Oct. 1 at 7 pm at Ciné (map) for an important night of film and discussion about the recent accident and oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

We are thrilled to be included in the UGA Office of Sustainability's Green Cup Competition. The UGA Greencup is an energy, water and waste reduction competition between the Hill Community Residence Halls.

What does it take to make a film "green?" Join us tonight for this pre-festival screening of Greenlit, a film about changing the way Hollywood makes movies. All guests will receive free pizza and a voucher good for one ticket to a regular EcoFocus screening event! The screening will be on the UGA campus at 7:30 PM in the Miller Learning Center, 171.
